Description
The medicinal properties of marshmallow root come from the mucilage, or sap-like substance, that the plant produces. The mucilage of the plant contains antioxidants, and research suggests that it forms a coating over skin and the digestive tract. Because of this, it’s perfect for cotton mouth! This tea can be enjoyed alone, or it goes well in to a larger blend of other teas. This is a great way to get the benefits of the root with other flavors added with it! A great tea to blend with marshmallow root is our Da Hong Pao Oolong Tea!
To brew our marshmallow root herbal tea, fill an infuser with approx 2-3tsp of tea. We recommend using a vessel that allows for the leaves to fully unfurl, such as our tea pot and strainer combo. Boil water, and fill infuser, and steep according to your taste preferences! Longer steep times will promote a stronger flavor.
