Our Bonfire tea is a whiskey-reminiscent blend perfect for warming the soul on a chilly day. This blend starts with a mixture of traditional black teas, including Keemun Concerto and Lapsang Souchong tea. Both Keemun Concerto and Lapsang Souchong are known for their smoky and inviting qualities. The addition of rosehips and cocoa nibs sweetens the mix for a well-rounded cup. Natural flavoring of whiskey, vanilla, and candy apple come together to settle into a beautiful fireside blend.
From the oxidized tea trio to the delightful addition of blue cornflowers – an herb with a long-standing association with renewal, this tea brings a calm but focused energy. Keemun Concerto is a black tea from the Anhui province in China. The tea is made by hand in limited batches and is famous for its deep, robust flavor. Lapsang Souchong, a beloved tea from the WuYi Mountains, is roasted over a pine fire for a revered smokey essence. These flavors will have you feeling as toasted as a marshmallow over a fire.
To brew Bonfire, add 5-6 grams of tea to your favorite infusion method (we recommend a vessel with space for the tea leaves to expand, such as our 12oz Tea Pot). Add hot water, the temperature is up to personal preference. Brew for about 45 seconds to 1 minute, or to taste. Longer brew times will result in a stronger cup of tea. This blend yields 2-3 steeps, with a delightful flavor shining through each time.
