Gorilla Breath Greenhouse THCA Flower

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in raw hemp and cannabis flower. On its own, it’s non-psychoactive. When heated through smoking, vaping, or baking, THCa converts into THC, which produces the traditional effects associated with cannabis.

The main difference is activation.

• THCa = Inactive, non-psychoactive form

• THC = Activated, psychoactive form

Heat converts THCa into THC, which is why smoked or vaped THCa flower delivers similar effects to traditional cannabis.

THCa itself does not create a high — but when exposed to heat, it becomes Delta-9 THC. That means smoking or vaping THCa flower can produce psychoactive effects, while consuming it raw (like juicing or adding to food) generally will not.

Yes, THCa is federally legal in the United States under the 2018 Farm Bill as long as the product contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Laws can vary by state, though, so it’s always smart to check your local regulations before purchasing or traveling with THCa products.

Most people enjoy THCa flower by:

• Smoking it in a pipe, joint, or blunt
• Vaping it in a dry herb vaporizer
• Using it to make infused oils or edibles

No matter the method, applying heat converts THCa into THC, unlocking the expected effects.

Most drug tests screen for THC metabolites. Because THCa becomes THC when heated — and even raw THCa may convert slightly in the body — using THCa products can trigger a positive test. If you’re tested regularly, it’s best to avoid all THC/THCa products.

THCa flower, once heated, behaves very similarly to traditional Delta-9 cannabis flower. Many people find it stronger and more natural-feeling than Delta-8, Delta-10, or HHC products. Potency depends on the strain and total cannabinoid profile.
